Your New Puppy
Welcoming a new puppy is a joyful experience, and being prepared helps ensure a smooth transition. Here's everything you need to know before and after bringing your pup home.
Puppy Essentials
Before picking up your puppy, we recommend getting a few basics in place. Start with the food we use—Time Puppy and Sapling—we’ll provide enough to transition or continue. A medium-sized crate is ideal for crate training, and soft toys and blankets help comfort your pup. Add some dog bowls or a slow feeder to manage mealtimes. We suggest waiting until your pup is 11–12 weeks old before buying collars or leads, once their 7-in-1 booster is done. At that point, your vet can also provide a Bravecto tablet to prevent mites.
Feeding & Health Routine
Puppies need regular care and proper nutrition to thrive. We feed our pups three times daily, using the guideline of 8% of the pup’s body weight per day. Regular worming is essential: we start every two weeks from birth. Your puppy will be due again at 12 weeks, after which you should follow your vet’s worming schedule. Bravecto tablets should also be given every 3–6 months. These steps support a strong foundation for a healthy, happy life.
Safe Puppy Development
Your puppy's joints are still developing, even after 8–10 weeks. Their bones haven't fully formed and are mostly made of muscle, ligaments, and tendons. During this stage, it's important to limit high-impact activities. Avoid letting your pup jump off furniture, overexert on walks, or run on slippery floors. These early months are critical—gentle play and supervised movement help joints develop properly and prevent long-term injuries. A safe start ensures lifelong strength.
